When first hearing about Big Brain coming to the Wii at first I thought it may not go over well. Originating from the Nintendo DS, Big Brain Academy seemed like it would feel tacked on, and bogged down. Fortunately Nintendo has been playing their brain games and created a fully unique title for the Wii. While this game is similar to other games on the Wii, in that its main game play element is simple mini games, it creates a uniqueness separating it from other titles including this element such as Rayman and WarioWare: Smooth Moves.

Instead of the mini games main objective being how fast, strange, or large to play them, these mini games force you to be as accurate as possible while also staying aware of the amount of time it takes you. Do it fast, but don?t mess up. Your accuracy and precision, along with your swiftness are measured in grams after every session. The larger the grams the heavier your brain.

The game also keeps track of what types of games you?re better at. Are you better at visualizing, or calculating? Well the game lets you know, so that you can practice in the practice area on your worst curriculum.

Take the daily test as much as you want, practice to make perfect, and compete with your skills against your friends online or split screen.

Overall it?s a bit better than the DS version, oh Nintendo, will you ever stop surprising us?
